We enforce a strict separation between verified technical specifications (documented protocols, geo-targeting granularity, sticky session durations, and published rate cards) and our manually curated demonstration rankings.

Core Evaluation Dimensions
When reviewing and structuring provider data in EmDash CMS, we examine six primary technical and commercial dimensions:
1. Proxy Pool Categories & Product Scope: Whether the provider offers Rotating Residential, Dedicated or Shared Datacenter, Static Residential (ISP), and Mobile (3G/4G/5G) pools. Where a provider advertises multiple proxy categories under a unified bandwidth rate table without publishing separate per-category rate cards (as on 2Captcha Proxy's official Residential, Datacenter, ISP, and Mobile landing pages), we explicitly document that distinction.
2. Pricing per GB / IP & Billing Structure: We record whether traffic is billed Pay-As-You-Go per gigabyte (e.g., 2Captcha Proxy from $3.99/GB down to $1.25/GB at 10 TB; Decodo at $4.00/GB PAYG; Oxylabs at $8.00/GB PAYG; Bright Data at $8.40/GB PAYG), via recurring monthly bandwidth subscriptions (e.g., SOAX starting at $90/mo for 25 GB), or via per-IP static leases (e.g., Webshare Datacenter from $2.99/mo or ~$0.05/IP). We never combine per-IP and per-GB prices in the same calculation or extrapolate Residential rates to other proxy categories.
3. Geographic Coverage & ASN Granularity: We document total country count (ranging from 195 to 220+ countries) and supported targeting parameters, including Country, State/Region, City, ZIP/Postal code, GPS coordinates, mobile carrier, and Autonomous System Number (ASN).
4. Supported Protocols: Verification of standard proxy transport protocols across HTTP, HTTPS (CONNECT tunneling), and SOCKS5.
5. Rotation & Sticky Session Controls: We compare per-request backconnect rotation against configurable sticky session persistence (such as up to 30 minutes on Oxylabs, up to 120 minutes on 2Captcha Proxy, and up to 24 hours on Decodo).
6. Authentication & Developer Tooling: Support for Username / Password credential strings (including inline session and geo-targeting flags), static IP Whitelisting, proxy management APIs, and browser extensions.
